FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Kansas to supplement state, local and tribal recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding from July 14-21, 2023. The following areas has been approved for assistance:

- Clark County
- Comanche County
- Edwards County
- Finney County
- Ford County
- Greeley County
- Johnson County
- Kearny County
- Pawnee County
- Rawlins County
- Rice County
- Russell County
- Stafford County

- Woodson County
- Wyandotte County
